in remembrance, i will run for you

i will play your music that made you dance and made you sing your way through my childhood memories

i will cry for you, missing your compassionate ear, your endless love, your words that you wrapped around me like a softly knitted blanket and held me still

i will think of you. i will think of you with your friends and the deep laughter that erupted from the pure joy of loving and caring and sharing yourself

i will give for you, a contribution that reflects the love and commitment you had for a world that struggles on

i will take care of my family as you took care of me. i will listen to what they say to me and be present and honest.

i will say hello for you, as you did to everyone you encountered, treating each person with the kindness and warmth that you shared with so many

i will walk for you, looking around at this beautiful world that i still exist in and your spirit covers

in remembrance i will run for you to find my way back to myself. i'll run back to the person you raised me to be and try to keep her strong, appreciative, humble, grateful, healthy, and always growing

a picture says so much

What cannot be cured, must be endured.  In Michigan that means the weather.  Get outside, trust me, it does make it better.

Instead of texting, meet up with a friend.  If that's not possible, make a phone call.  Voices are amazingly comforting.

Find your humor.  You need it in life.
