V I S i T i N G M A Y O
After the first meeting with a doctor at Mayo to discuss removing my Essure device, we had a lot of time to kill before the next imaging appointment so we decided it was practical to be productive -- get a haircut (he said he felt like a Yeti). We head off . . . see pic.
Minnesota is full of really helpful, kind people. Okay, men hate getting directions from other people. While looking at our walking directions to the barber shop on Google Maps, a woman stops to ask if we need assistance. She immediately recognizes where we need to go and directs us. So nice -- thank you. Andre doesn't believe her -- instead of right that would have brought us directly to our location, we go left, which after 20 steps clearly looked like the wrong way because there wasn't really anything commercial around us. He was happy just to get the steps. I, 9 out of 10 times, would be happy too, except I wore shoes/short booties, that were not meant for walking (sorry Nancy Sinatra).
We ultimately end exactly where the woman directed us. Besides sore feet, the walk was a good move. Whether it was intentionally meant to be that way, it ultimately was a good distraction. Thank you Andre.
